On Saturday at around noon, New York Rangers forward Daniel Paille was placed on waivers, but on Sunday, around 24 hours later, Paille cleared waivers.

Paille was signed by the Rangers on Jan. 21 for dwpth and help on the penalty kill.

In 12 games with the Rangers this season, he had a plus-minus rating of -2, 11 shots on goal, and was only on ice for two Ranger goals and eight goals against him.

Although the placing of Paille on waivers may not be a surprising move due to the stats listed above, the Rangers will most likely need to make a call-up from their AHL team, the Hartford Wolf Pack in order to fill Paille ' spot in the lineup.

In a corresponding move, the Rangers called up Marek Hrivik from the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL).
