RANGERS NOTEBOOK FEBRUARY 3rd

@RNYRF Staff Report

Rangers have announced that Defenseman Kevin Klein will be out indefinitely with a fractured right thumb. Klein fell awkwardly into the boards late in the 3rd period of Tuesday night's contest vs the New Jersey Devils after being hit by NJ's Reid Boucher. Klein missed one game in mid-January with an injury to the same thumb.
Rookie d-man Dylan McIlrath will replace Klein in the lined up and will be paired with Keith Yandle.  This season McIlrath has played in 20 games and has 2 goals and an assist, is a plus 5, has 58 PIM, 56 hits and 27 blocked shots.
Rick Nash again skated on his own today before the Rangers held practice. Nash was expected to take part in team drills today but was unable "to go". Nash is still being listed as day to day and will miss his 4th straight game tomorrow night when the NY Rangers take on the Minnesota Wild at Madison Square Garden.
This afternoon the Rangers announced that they have recalled forward Jayson Megna from AHL Hartford Wolf Pack. Megna was recalled in early January to fill in for an injured Derek Stepan, had 1 goal and 1 assists in 5 games before he was returned to the Pack.
