1933: The Rangers acquire Roy Burmister and Vic Ripley from the Boston Bruins in exchange for Babe Siebert.


1977: Rangers' rookie Ron Duguay gets his first NHL hat-trick in 6-2 win over Red Wings.


1989: The Rangers acquire Bob Froese from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Kjell Samuelsson and the 1989 2nd round pick (#34-Patrik Juhlin).


1996: Mark Messier records his 15th shorthanded goal as a Ranger, passing Don Maloney for first on the Rangers’ all-time list. 
Behind Messier’s goal and Mike Richter’s 37 saves, the Rangers shut out the Los Angeles Kings, 4-0, at MSG.
