Facing and Edmonton Oilers team that was pretty much like looking into a mirror the Rangers pulled off another 3 goal come from behind victory. Never leading the entire game the Rangers turned the tables on Connor McDavid and the rest of the speedy young Edmonton Oilers and kept battling back up until Rick Nash put the Rangers up for good on a beautiful play started by Mats Zuccarello 4-3.
J.T. Miller hammered the last nail into the coffin with an empty net goal to finish the game.
Trailing since the first and battling back the Rangers stayed in the game, never heading to the locker room down on goals by Kevin Hayes, Michael Grabner, who now leads the NHL with 6 even strength goals and Jesper Fast who netted his first of the season.
D-Man Brady Skjei tallied two assists tonight giving him a 3 game point streak. Henrik Lundqvist stopped all but 3 of the 24 shots agaist tonight picking up the win.
All around solid game for the Rangers and especially the 3rd line of Kevin Hayes, Michael Grabner and J.T. Miller who were double shifted for most of the 2nd and 3rd periods. The Rangers now 8-3-0 have won 7 games of the 8 on home ice.
The Rangers return to action on Saturday as they head to Boston to take on the Bruins.
