NYR TODAY Tues. 11/15: Game Day Preview, Alumni Birthday, Today in NYR History

NEW YORK RANGERS GAME DAY PREVIEW

NEW YORK RANGERS (12-4-0) VANCOUVER CANUCKS (6-9-1)
Rogers Arena, Vancouver, British Columbia   10:00 PM. TV: MSG, RADIO: WEPN 98.7 FM

The Rangers wrap up their 3 game Western Canad Road Trip tonight in Vancouver taking on the Canucks in the second game of the season between the two. Fresh in their minds the Rangers will be looking to avenge a 5-3 loss at Madison Square Garden just over a week ago. During the game Rangers goaltender Antti Raanta was pulled from the game by the League to be evaluated for a concussion after a hit from Canucks Markus Grandlund. Subsequently a "cold" Henrik Lundqvist was inserted into net and was a victim of 2 goals on 6 shots before Raanta was cleared to return to the game.
The Rangers will be possibly without wingers Chris Kreider (undiscosed upper body injury) and Rookie Pavel Buchnevich (back spasms). The team recalled rookie Cristoval "Boo" Nieves yesterday from AHL Hartford to fill in, dpending on if Buchnevich can go he may be inserted into the lineup tonight. Look for Henrik Lundqvist to be between the pipes tonight for New York. Game time start of 10:00 PM EST.
