NYR Today Sunday 11/27: Game Day Preview, Alumni Birthdays, Today in Rangers History

NEW YORK RANGERS GAME DAY PREVIEW

NEW YORK RANGERS (15-6-1) OTTAWA SENATORS (13-7-1)
Madison Square Garden, NYC 7:00 PM TV: MSG, NHLN-US; RADIO: WEPN 98.7 FM NY

Tonight the Rangers take on the Ottawa Senators for the first time this season at Madison Square Garden. A familiar face for Rangers fans will be in the opposing lineup, Center Derick Brassard. Brassard will be making his first return to the Garden Ice since July's trade to Ottawa however Mika Zibanejad who the Rangers acquired in the trade is still out for at least 5 more weeks with a broken fibulia.

The Rangers are coming off a 3-2 Win over Philadelphia on Friday Afternoon where Henrik Lundqvist shined with 40 saves in the contest. Lundqvist needs one win to tie Mike Vernon for 13th on the career victories list with 385.

The Rangers have won six of their last nine against Ottawa, but the three losses all came at MSG and will be looking to halt a 3 three game home losing skid tonight.

This will be the Rangers sixth game in the past ten days. Over that span the Rangers have gone 2-2-1.
