Tonight the New York Rangers face off against the Vancouver Canucks looking to win their sixth game in a row at Madison Square Garden before heading off on a 3 game West Coast road trip.

Coming into the contest the Rangers have won their last five games in eight days scoring five goals per game including an impressive second period stat of 30 goals on the season.

Michael Grabner with 7 leads the team in goals while J.T. Miller leads the team in points with 13. In their last game versus Winnipeg five different Rangers scored goals, a game stat that seems to be a trend early here in the season.

The Rangers with 20 points stand on top of the Metropolitan division 2 points ahead of second place Pittsburgh and 1 point behind Montreal for the top spot in the league.

Tonight's opponent the Vancouver Canucks who started the season 4-0-0, has lost nine consecutive games, including a 4-2 defeat to the New York Islanders last night.
