The New York Rangers take on the Boston Bruins tonight at 7:00 PM in Boston at the TD Gardens. This is the second meeting between the two teams this season. In their previous meeting the Rangers defeated the Bruins 5-2 at Madison Square Garden on October 26.
The Rangers have scored at least five goals in six of its eight wins and leading the league in goals for with 45. Antti Raanta wil get the start for the Rangers tonight in net.

Today in NYR History November 5:


1939: Frank Boucher makes his head coaching debut, becoming the second bench boss in Rangers history.


2002: Mike Richter plays his final NHL game, making 39 saves in a 5-2 Rangers victory over the Edmonton Oilers at MSG. Richter retires as the Rangers’ all-time leader in wins and games played. 


2005: The Rangers win their first shootout, defeating the New Jersey Devils, 3-2, at MSG. Kevin Weekes stops three of the four shooters he faces, and rookie Petr Prucha scores the winner in the fourth round of the shootout.
