RANGERS FALL TO STARS 2-1
DROP 3RD STRAIGHT
With the trade deadline looming and the announcement that the Rangers requested Rick Nash's 18 team list that that can trade him to the Rangers who took an early lead on a goal by David Desharnais just could not hold the lead.
The Stars Tyler Seguin tallied the tying goal in the 2nd Period while Martin Hanzal picked up the game winner in the 3rd.
The Rangers just could not gain momentum in the first and second periods and were not able to cash in on 3 power play attempts.
Henrik Lundqvist was once again solid and spectacular at times stopping 39 of 41 shots on goal while Counterpart Ben Bishop stopped 31 of the Rangers 32 shots on net.
The Rangers have now gained sole posession of last place in the Metro with the Islanders picking up a point in their overtime loss to Nashville tonight to go ahead 56-55 points.
