RANGERS CLOBBERED AT HOME BY FLYERS 7-4

LOSING STREAK HITS 4 GAMES

Once again dfensive breakdowns put the Rangers on the losing side this time 7-4 to the Philadelphia Flyers. In a game which looked at the start like 50 years ago when the Rangers and Flyers played the first game at the current MSG with 3 fights in the first period the Rangers took the early lead but could not hold it for long.

Kevin Hayes, Rick Nash, Mats Zuccarello and Peter Holland all scored for the Rangers but too many odd man rushes helped the Flyers to 7 goals. Henrik Lundqvist who caught cat calls from the Garden crowd deserved better but stopping 30 of 37 shots was just not enough for the win or for the home crowd.
