RANGERS VS BRUINS POST GAME WRAP UP 2/7

RANGERS THUMPED AT HOME 6-1 BY BRUINS

DROP FOURTH STRAIGHT

Rick Nash opened the game's scoring with a beautiful power move to the net putting one in past Bruins netminder Anton Khudobin to give the Rangers the 1-0 lead. And that was the offense for the Rangers who have seemed to hit rock bottom dropping their 7th game in their last 8.

Henrik Lundqvist was pulled in the second period for the third time in his last seven games giving up goals to the B's Chara, Bergeron and Schaller after 16 shots on net by Boston. Bergeron added his 2nd of the game in the second period and Kuraly added a goal in the third to end the game 6-1 in favor of the Bruins. Two of the goals Lundqvist could be held accountable for but mostly the errors were on the side of the Rangers defense, giving up odd man rushes and turnovers for most of the game.

Whether the Rangers are battling with the looming trade deadline and fire sale that is coming or they have just given up on each other and coach Alain Vigneault, possibly a combination of all of the above, they have become somewhat unbearable for the fans to watch. Time is looming over the Rangers even tough they sit outside of a playoff berth by three points it seems very unlikely unless there is a dramatic change to the coaching staff or personell to have a chance to make the postseason or even out of the first round if they do.
