MINNESOTA RUNS "WILD" OVER RANGERS 4-1

NEW YORK DROPS 6TH STRAIGHT

The return of Chris Kreider was spolied tonight by Eric Staal and Markus Grandlund who turned the game into their own show. Stall and Granlund both tallied 2 goals and 2 assits on the night to down the Rangers at MSG 4-1.

The Rangers started off the game even with both teams getting chances until under five minutes left in the first when the Wild tallied their first two goals of the game.

The Rangers were able to cut the lead 2-1 in the second period when JT Miller sent a beautiful passover to Jesper Fast. Fast had a wide open net and put it past Devan Dubnyk as he was sliding over for the right pad save for his 9th goal of the season.

Minnesota tallied their first of two goals in the third just 52 seconds in while the Rangers Rob O'Gara was in the box from a second period hooking penalty. The Rangers could not gain any momentum and the Wild put the game away just past the midway point of the period.

The Rangers were 0/1 on the power play and only were able to put up 22 shots on goal. Alexandar Georgiev making his second straight start stopped 33 of 37 shots on goal.
