1970: The Rangers acquire Steve Andrascik from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for Don Luce.
1975: Two days after being put on waivers by the Rangers, Ed Giacomin returns to MSG as a member of the Detroit Red Wings.
Giacomin is serenaded with chants of "Edd-ie! Edd-ie!" from the MSG crowd. Giacomin leads Detroit to a 6-4 victory over the Rangers.
1979: The Rangers acquire Barry Beck from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for Bobby Sheehan, Lucien DeBlois, Pat Hickey, Mike McEwen and Dean Turner.
1993: The Rangers acquire Nick Kypreos, Steve Larmer, Barry Richter & the 1994 6th round pick (#135-Yuri Litvinov) from the Hartford Whalers in exchange for James Patrick and Darren Turcotte.
2000: Adam Graves passes Andy Bathgate for third on the Rangers’ all-time goals list with his 273rd tally as a Blueshirt.
