1938: The Rangers trade Norm Mann to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for $4,000 Cash.


1971: The Rangers acquire Gene Carr, Wayne Connelly and Jim Lorentz from the St, Louis Blues in exchange for Andre Dupont, Jack Egers and Mike Murphy.


1972: Steve Vickers of the Rangers becomes the first rookie in modern-day NHL history to have hat tricks in back-to-back games. 
Three nights after scoring three goals against the Los Angeles Kings, he does it again in New York's 7-3 victory against the Philadelphia Flyers at Madison Square Garden.
