Meeting for the second of three games this season both the Rangers and Panthers come into tonight's game having given up 7 goals each in previous losses. The Rangers continued their troublesome record in Brooklyn dropping a 7-5 loss to the Islanders and Florida a 7-3 loss in Columbus, both games were played Tuesday.

The Rangers defeated Florida 5-2 back on October 23 at MSG. Since the win, the Rangers are 6-3-2 in their last 11 games and the Panthers are 6-3 in their last nine games.

The Rangers who practiced yesterday  spent  20 minutes of drills on net-front coverage and defensive-zone switches, a definite problem during Tuesday's Loss which saw four of five goals against Henrik Lundqvist go in off of deflections in front of the crease.

Yesterday the Rangers traded Ryan Spooner to the Edmonton Oilers for Ryan Strome. The 25 year old Strome's addition to the roster should bump Cody McLeod into street clothes.

Florida's offense is performing at its best clip in team history, averaging 3.19 goals per game and converting 23.2 percent of its power plays. The Panthers scored twice on the man advantage Thursday and are 9 of 24 on power plays in the last six games.
