ZUCCARELLO, RANGERS EDGE BRUINS IN OT 2-1

A penalty filled game ended on Rangers Power Play less than a minute after Boston garnered a 2 minute too many men on the ice bench penalty just 1:05 into the overtime period when Mats Zuccarello picked up his 8th of the season and second overtime winning goal.

After an overturned Bruins goal in the first period due to an offsides, the Rangers picked up a 2 goal lead on the Bruins with tallies from Michael Grabner and a Power Play goal from J.T. Miller to put the Rangers ahead until late in the second period when David Heinen scored to make it 2-1.

In the third period the Rangers were holding onto the one goal lead after giving up 5 man advantages to Boston but holding them to only 1 shot on goal in all 5. The 6th was the breaking point and Boston cashed in when Brad Marchand tied the game 2-2 eventually sending the game to overtime where the Rangers picked up the win.

Henrik Lundqvist picked up the win making 33 saves for the second night in a row giving him 421 and placing him only 2 wins behind Tony Esposito for 8th on the all time wins list.
