RANGERS VS KINGS POST GAME WRAP UP 12/15

RANGERS DOWN KINGS 4-2 AT MSG

The Rangers came to play tonight and Rick Nash led the way. Even though Nash missed the net four times tonight the fifth shot on goal is what counted, the tie breaker and Game Winner. Nash played a hell of a game getting to the net when he could and putting shots on Jonathan Quick when possible.

Rangers took a 1-0 lead in the first period when a Kevin Shattenkirk shot from the point deflected in off of the knee of Chris Kreider for a Rangers power play goal.

Former Ranger Marion Gaborik, playing in his 100th career game tied the game 1-1 early in the second period. Kevin Hayes was able to put the Rangers back on top 2-1 with just over five minutes to go in the middle frame.

The Kings tied the game 2-2 when Marion Gaborik skated in and Henrik lundqvist made the initial save but John Mitchell was following in and put the rebound past number 30. Eight plus minutes later is when NAsh finally put the Rangers ahead for good 3-2. J.T. Miller added an empty net goal to finish off Los Angeles, give the Rangers their 13th home win and gain a two huge points in the standings.

Lundqvist stopped 33 of 35 shots on goal while the Rangers were able to get 28 shots of their own.
