RANGERS FALL TO KINGS 4-2

BLOW 2-0 LEAD IN SECOND PERIOD

In what looked to be a Rangers win over the slumping Los Angeles Kings instead turned into a breakout game for the Kings who snapped a six game losing skid at the Rangers expense.

The Rangers took an early 1-0 lead on a power play goal by David Desharmais followed by Jimmy Vesey's 10th of the season taking a 2-0 lead heading into the second period. But, that was all she wrote for the Rangers on the score sheet as the Kings would start a 4 unanswered goals onslaught scoring 3 on the power play in the second period and adding an empty netter in the third to seal the game.

After the momentum LA built off their first two power play goals the Rangers could not catch up and were held to just 23 shots over 60 minutes.

Henrik Lundqvist stopped 27 of the 30 shots he faced.
