McDonagh Leads Rangers Past Red Wings 4-1
The Rangers closed out their final game a "The Joe" with a 4-1 Win over the Detroit Red Wings.
Captain Ryan McDonagh led the scoring with 2 goals, including a short handed goal late in the first period and the goal ahead goal once again in the second. Kevin Hayes added a goal just 37 second later to give the Rangers the 3-1 lead heading into the third period.
Derek Stepan scored his first goal in 23 games on the power play late in the third period to round out the scoring 4-1.
J.T. Miller picked up his 31st assist and 50th point of the season.
Chris Kreider tallied his 47th point of the season reaching a career high.
Antti Raanta stopped 24 of 25 shots on goal for the Win.
The Rangers head back home to MSG taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow at 7:00 PM.
