Three Stars of the Week
Tim Gettinger, LW, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (OHL) - Gettinger tallied a point in all three games he played in last week (one goal, four assists), and he tied a single-game OHL career-high with three assists on Mar. 3 at Guelph. The Rangers' fifth round pick (141st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft has recorded a point in five of the last six games, tallying nine points (five goals, four assists) over the span. Gettinger has established OHL career-highs in goals (28) and points (49) this season, and he is one assist away from tying his OHL career-high. In addition, he ranks third on the Greyhounds in goals and ranks fourth on the team in plus/minus rating (plus-21) in 2016-17.Ryan Gropp, LW, Seattle Thunderbirds (WHL) - Gropp registered four points (two goals, two assists) and a plus-three rating in three games last week, including three points (two goals, one assist) on Mar. 1 at Kamloops. The Rangers' second round pick (41st overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft has recorded a point in 21 of the last 23 games, tallying 45 points (20 goals, 25 assists) over the span. In addition, Gropp has recorded a point in 26 of the last 29 contests, registering 51 points (22 goals, 29 assists) in those 29 games. Gropp leads Seattle in goals (31), and ranks second on the team in assists (44) and points (75) this season. In addition, he has established WHL career-highs in assists and points in 2016-17, and he has registered at least 30 goals for the third consecutive season.
Gabriel Fontaine, C, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (QMJHL) - Fontaine tallied two assists/points and posted a plus-four rating in three games last week. The Rangers' sixth round pick (171st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft has established QMJHL career-highs in assists (28) and points (48) this season, and his 20 goals are tied for his QMJHL career-high. Fontaine has recorded an assist/point in four of the last five games (four assists over the span). In addition, he has tallied a point in 11 of the last 17 games (two goals, nine assists), as well as in 17 of the last 24 games (11 goals, 12 assists). He is tied for fourth on the Huskies in points and ranks fifth on the team in plus/minus rating (plus-27) this season.
Emerging from the Pack
Nicklas Jensen registered four points (two goals, two assists) in three contests last week, and he recorded at least five shots on goal in each of the three games (18 shots on goal over the span). Jensen has recorded a point in 25 of his last 34 games in the AHL, registering 31 points (19 goals, 12 assists) over the span. He ranks third in the AHL in goals (25) and ranks sixth in the league in shots on goal (166) this season. In addition, Jensen leads Hartford in goals, points (42), and shots on goal in 2016-17, and he has established AHL career-highs in goals and points this season.Taylor Beck notched an assist while making his debut with the Wolf Pack on Mar. 4 vs. Lehigh Valley. Beck, who was acquired by the Rangers in a trade with the Edmonton Oilers on Mar. 1, ranks second in the AHL in assists (38) and is tied for third in the league in points (51) this season.
Daniel Catenacci tallied a goal while making his debut with the Wolf Pack on Mar. 1 vs. Springfield, and he recorded two points (one goal, one assist) in three games last week. Catenacci, who was acquired by the Rangers in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres on Feb. 28, has recorded 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in 53 AHL games in 2016-17.
Adam Tambellini recorded three assists/points in three games last week. The Rangers' third round pick (65th overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has posted seven multi-point games this season, and he ranks third on the Wolf Pack in points in 2016-17 (31; 11 goals, 20 assists).

Sean Day, D, Windsor Spitfires (OHL) - Day tied a single-game OHL career-high with two assists, recorded six shots on goal, and posted a plus-two rating on Mar. 4 vs. London. The Rangers' third round pick (81st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft has registered 31 points (14 goals, 15 assists) and a plus-19 rating in 57 OHL games this season.Ty Ronning, RW, Vancouver Giants (WHL) - Ronning recorded two points (one goal, one assist) on Mar. 3 at Portland. The Rangers' seventh round pick (201st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft has notched a point in five of the last seven games, tallying seven points (three goals, four assists) over the span. In addition, Ronning has registered a point in 16 of the last 29 games, recording 22 points (13 goals, nine assists) during the stretch. He leads the Giants in goals (24) and points (50), and ranks third in assists (26) this season. Ronning has tallied at least 50 points in each of the last two seasons, and he is two assists away from tying his WHL career-high.
