Leading 2-1 heading into the third period on goals by Rick Nash and Mats Zuccarello puck luck just wasn't on the Rangers side tonight at home. Missed open nets once again plagued the Rangers as they missed numerous times while the Islanders took advantage of the the man advantage scoring twice in the third period to take the lead and what would eventually be the final score of 3-2.
The Rangers did not play a bad game per say and peppered Isles goalie Thomas Greiss with 36 shots but just could not cash in.
What is starting to look like a MSG Home Hex now stands at 7 losses in a row.
The Rangers head to the road for a 3 game California Trip starting Saturday in Los Angeles against the Kings.
