NEW YORK RANGERS GAME DAY PREVIEW
Rangers road trip with win in San Jose

NEW YORK RANGERS (46-26-4) vs SAN JOSE SHARKS (42-26-7)
SAP Center at San Jose, San Jose CA 10:300 PM TV: MSG Radio: WEPN 98.7 FM

Heading into tonight's game in San Jose the Rangers look to pick up their 28th road win of the season. The Rangers lead the league with 27 road victories and are 21-6-0 versus Western Conference opponents this season

Heading into the second and final meeting the Rangers and Sharks have already met once this season with the Rangers taking the first at MSG 7-4 back on October 17th. Seven different Rangers scored in the contest while Antti Ranta picked up the win stopping 31 of 35 shots on goal.

Kevin Hayes leads the Rangers in scoring on the road with 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists), followed by J.T. Miller with 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists). Mats Zuccarello also has 26 points, including a team-high 21 assists away from home. Rick Nash has scored four goals in his last four games while Derek Stepan has scored two in his last two games.

Henrik Lundqvist will get the start tonight vs San Jose. Lundqvist gave up five goals on 33 shots in his return from injury Sunday in the loss to the Ducks. He's 4-4-0 with one shutout against San Jose for his career, and has allowed one goal or fewer in three of his last four appearances against the Sharks.

With the New York Islanders and Carolina both lost last night but Tampa Bay defeating Chicago, the Rangers need just one point against the Sharks  to clinch a playoff spot.
