RANGERS RETURN TO ACTION IN CHICAGO

Riding a six game winning streak the Rangers look to pick up their 7th in a row tonight against Original Six Rival Chicago Blackhawks. The Rangers are coming off a four day layoff after their home win on Saturday 4-2 over the visiting Edmonton Oilers.
This is the first of two meetings between the two teams this season, the next coming at MSG on January 3rd. Both teams are coming in with similar records. The Rangers are 9-7-2 are currently sit in 6th of the Metro Division while Chicago is 8-8-2 on the season, 6th in the Central Division.
The Rangers lineup will remain intact from the past 6 games with defenseman Brendan Smith and forward Paul Carey sitting out tonight’s contest. Henrik Lundqvist 8-4-2, 6-0 in his last six starts will start his 7th straight game. Lundqvist will face Chicago’s Corey Crawford 7-7-0.
Chicago is coming off a 7-2 home loss to the New Jersey Devils on Sunday.
