The Rangers, 8 wins in their last 10 games will look to continue their Home Ice win streak against Original Six counterparts the Detroit Red Wings tonight at MSG. The Rangers have outscored opponents 22-11 in the last 10 games and have won their last 5 games at home.

This will be the first of three meetings between the two teams this season and first of two at the Garden.

The Red Wings come into tonight’s contest having played 3 games in the last 4 days and having lost on Wednesday to the Edmonton Oilers 6-3 in Detroit. The Rangers are coming off a 6-1 win in Carolina which saw 10 different Rangers put points on the scoreboard. Mika Zibanejad upped his team leading points with his 11th goal and 11th assist of the season while both Chris Kreider and Jesper Fast tallied 2 goals each against the Hurricanes.

It is expected that Henrik Lundqvist will be starting his 12th straight game having gone 8-3 over the span. Lundqvist is 10-6-2 on the season with a GAA of 2.71 and a .914 SV%.
