The Rangers come into tonight’s game having lost their last two games after winning six straight. In the last two games the Rangers have surrendered 85 shots on goal, allowed 8 goals while only netting 2 goals of their own.
The Rangers power play which was ineffective against Chicago and Columbus in 11:09 of man advantage time will need to get back on track again after going 6-for-18 (33.3%) over the last six games and 9-for-29 (31.0%) over the last nine games.
Henrik Lundqvist who faced 42 shots on goal, giving up 2 goals in Friday Night’s loss to Columbus is expected to start his 9th straight game tonight vs Ottawa. The Lineup is expected to stay the same since no announcements have been made.
Ottawa who is starting a stretch of 10 road games in their next 11 has a two game losing streak of their own having lost to Arizona last night 3-2 in overtime along with a 3-1 loss to Pittsburgh on Thursday.
