RANGERS BATTLE BOLTS TO 2-1 OVERTIME WIN

A beautiful move bt J.T. Miller past 2 Bolts defenders was all it took 1:19 into the overtime period to take 2 points from the First Place Tampa Bay Lightning.

One of the most solid 60 minutes the Rangers have played all season payed off in the end. Henrik Lundqvist backstopped the Rangers with 27 saves on the night, making the important and difficult saves when the were needed. But it was just as equally played at the other end of the ice by his counterpart Andrei Vasilevskiy who stopped all but two of the 35 shots he faced off Rangers Sticks.

The Rangers opened the scoring on a nice tic tac toe play between Brady Skjei, Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider who picked up his fourth of the season playing 4 on 4 hockey while Mats Zuccarello and Victor Hedman were both in the box for incidental minors.

The Rangers bettered their record with the win to 5-7-2. Prior to the Win the Rangers were 0 for 2 in overtimes while Tampa Bay was 1 and 1.
