POWER PLAY BOLSTERS RANGERS PAST COLUMBUS 5-3


Down 2-1 heading into the third period with the lone goal by Michael Grabner the Rangers seized the opportunities given to them in the form of man advantages by Columbus.

Three third period power play goals by Kevin Shattenkirk, Chris Kreider and Pavel Buchnevich pulled the Rangers out of a 2-1 deficit and a 3-2 deficit to get past the Metropolitan Division 2nd Place Columbus Blue Jackets. Michael Grabner closed out the scoring with his 2nd of the game into an empty net.

A game in which saw the Rangers dominate the first period only to flounder in the second and once again mount a comeback to earn the win in the third period.

Henrik Lundqvist stopped 22 of 25 shots on goal tonight while the Rangers were able to put 4 past Jackets netminder Sergei Bobrovsky.

The Rangers have now evened their record to 7-7-2 and have won their last four games.
