RANGERS VS CANUCKS GAME DAY PREVIEW 11/26

RANGERS FACE CANUCKS LOOKING FOR 8th STRAIGHT HOME WIN

New York Rangers (12-9-2) vs Vancouver Canucks (11-9-3)
TODAY 2:00 PM, TV: MSG Radio: WNBM 103.9 FM
Madison Square Garden, New York, NY

Home Sweet Home has been the norm lately as the Rangers have won seven straight on Madison Square Garden Ice. Today they take on the Vancouver Canucks in an afternoon contest looking to pick up their 4th straight win and their 8th straight win at home.

This is the first of two meetings this season between the two teams and the only game at the Garden.

The Rangers come into the game after a 2-1 overtime win against the Detroit Red Wings. Henrik Lundqvist was spectacular in the contest stopping 40 of 41 shots on goal. The red hot Lundqvist will be starting his 12th straight game in net going 9-3 over the span.

The Canucks are one game into a four game road trip, having played the New Jersey Devils last night in a 3-2 loss on Friday night. Unlike the Rangers, Vancouver started the season on a hot streak going 6-3-1 in their first 1o games but has faltered in their last 12 going 5-6-1. Rookie Brock Boeser leads the Canucks in goals (11), assists (11) and points (22).

Captain Ryan McDonagh will miss his 3rd straight game with an abdominal strain. The Rangers will also be without center Boo Nieves who suffered a hip pointer in the first period against the Red Wings on Friday. David Desharnais will return to the lineup in Nieves place.
