MINOR SHAKEUP IN RANGERSTOWN


Still looking to find the right team chemistry the Rangers made the following moves on Tuesday.

The Rangers placed forward Adam Cracknell on waivers, if he clears he will be demoted to AHL affiliate Hartford Wolf Pack.

Cracknell had played in four games for the Rangers this season, is a minus one, had 4 shots on goal, 5 shot attempts and averaged 7:30 per game.

New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has assigned Tony DeAngelo to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.

DeAngelo had appeared in 8 games for the Rangers this season, has 1 assist, is a minus four, 14 shots on goal, 25 shot attempts and an average of 12:38 per game.

DeAngelo has been credited with 4 hits, 2 blocked shots and 10 giveaways.

The Rangers have used DeAngelo as the 7th defenseman and PP specialist in the last two games.

DeAngelo is averaging 9:42 per game at even strength, 15 seconds on the PK and 2:40 per game on the PP.


New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has recalled forward Boo Nieves from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.


This season in Hartford, the 23 year old Nieves has played in
7 games and has 2 goals, 1 assist, is minus five with 2 PIM and 12 shots on goal.
