The Rangers will look to carry over their play from the previous game where they won a solid effort against Nashville on Saturday in a 4-2 win, as they host the San Jose Sharks at the Garden. The Sharks who have a record of 3-4 have been struggling early in the season.
The Sharks led by Logan Couture (6 boals, 8 points) and Joe Thornton (5 assists) will faceoff against Mika Zibanejad (5 goals) and J.T. Miller (6 assists, 8 points), The Rangers points leaders.
Henrik Lundqvist who picked the win against Nashville on Saturday is expected to get start vs San Jose. The Sharks should be going with Martin Jones who has gone 3-2 on the season.
This is the first meeting of two between the Rangers and Sharks and the only game in 2017, next meeting in San Jose in January.
