RANGERS VS COYOTES POST GAME WRAP UP 10/26

NIEVES SHINES AS RANGERS DOWN COYOTES 5-2

A 2 Point Night for Boo Nieves, and a 3 goal game with 7 total points for the new line of Michael Grabner, Nieves and Pavel Buchnevich propelled the Rangers past the still winless Arizona Coyotes. Both Grabner and Buchnevich tallied 2 goals a piece. Grabner’s 2nd came on an empty netter to seal the win for the Rangers.

The Rangers opened the scoring when Mika Zibanejad forced a turnover at center ice fed it to Mats Zuccarello and a beauty of a pass to Chris Kreider who burried one past Arizona’s Adin Hill. In a must win game the Rangers came to play.

Ondrej Pavelec earned his first win of the season and as a New York Rangers stopping 27 of 29 shots on goal. Pavelec also earned his 10,000 career save on the second puck stop of the night.

Rick Nash celebrated his 1,000 career game while Marc Staal played his 700th.
