Still looking to find their game the Rangers host the reigning Stanley Cup Champions at the Garden tonight in the first of four games between the two teams this season.
Henrik Lundqvist, Rangers (1-3-0, GAA 2.82, SV% 914 is expected to get the start against Matt Murray, Penguins (3-0-0, GAA 3.29, SV% 923).
Pittsburgh comes into the contest led by team leaders Sydney Crosby (3 goals, 5 assists, 8 points) and Bryan Rust (7 assists) while the Rangers led by Mika Zibanejad and Mats Zuccarello are still trying to find their identity.
Yesterday Alain Vigneault changed up the lines going with Rick Nash, Mika Zibanejad, Mats Zuccarello - Chris Kreider, David Desharnais, JT Miller - Jimmy Vesey, Kevin Hayes, Jesper Fast and a mix of Michael Grabner, Paul Carey, Adam Cracknell & Pavel Buchnevich on the fourth line. On defense, Vigneault went with Ryan McDonagh with Tony DeAngelo, Brady Skjei with Brendan Smith, Marc Staal with Kevin Shattenkirk and Nick Holden with Steven Kampfer as the extra pair.
