RANGERS AND LUNDQVIST EARN SECOND WIN

One of the best showings of the short season for the New York Rangers as downed the Nashville Predators 4-2 to bring their record up to 2-5-2 for 6 points.

Henrik Lundqvist, 23 saves and Kevin Hayes, a goal and an assist led the Rangers to victory this afternoon at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers maintained a solid forecheck and played a solid defensive game earning themselves the win.

First goals of the season by Jesper Fast, Chris Kreider on the power play and the finishing touch by Jimmy Vesey with the empty netter in the final minute rounded out the scoring.
