RANGERS VS GOLDEN KNIGHTS POST GAME WRAP UP 10/31

ZIBANEJAD LEADS RANGERS PAST GOLDEN KNIGHTS 6


Falling behind 2-1 in the first period, 3-2 and then 4-2 in the second period it looked as though the Rangers were going to be on the losing end once again. But the Rangers were able to do a 180 turn and come from behind with four unanswered goals in the 3rd period to take the win 6-4.

Led by Mika Zibanejad who tallied his 8th goal of the season on the power play and adding 2 assists, upping his team leading points to 13 the Rangers rallied back to please the hometown crowd at MSG.

Jimmy Vesey opened the Rangers scoring while Chris Kreider (Power Play Goal), Mats Zuccarello, Pavel Buchnevich and Michael Grabner rounded out the Rangers scoring. Along with Zibanejad’s 3 point showing Mats Zuccarello and Pavel Buchnevich tallied 2 points of their own on the night.

Henrik Lundqvist stopped 30 of 34 shots on goal taking the win and number 408 of his career to move into sole possession of 9th place on the NHL’s All Time Wins List ahead of Glenn Hall.
